Klungkung, Bali vice regent urges residents to be vigilant about landslides during rainy season

Now that the rains have come (slowly, but they’ve come), Klungkung’s vice regent is appealing to the public to hati-hati as the regency has a history of landslides.

“When the rainy season is like this, Klungkung is prone to landslides. I hope people living in the landslide-prone areas are more vigilant,” I Made Kasta said on Thursday, as quoted by Tribun Bali

Caste referenced Nusa Penida in particular as needing to be on alert, as local residents there were recently killed during a landslide from the limestone cliffs. Other villages mentioned by him were Banjarangkan in Timuhun, Bungbungan, and Nyalian villages.
