The infamous couple behind the “Bali Suitcase Murder” is getting their story adapted to TV.
Americans Heather Mack and Tommy Schaefer were convicted in Bali for the August 2014 killing of Mack’s mother, Sheila von Wiese-Mack, and stuffing her bloody body in a suitcase at the posh Bali St. Regis resort.
Based on a trailer for an episode dedicated to Mack and Schaefer’s disturbing saga, American TV program “Snapped: Killer Couples,” on Oxygen Network will be covering the pair’s back stories and how their “unlikely romance” led them down a dangerous, dark path. Cheesy Lifetime-grade actors and all.
Get the popcorn ready.
Since they were sentenced in April 2015, the pair has apparently broken up but is working together to raise their baby in Bali’s notorious Kerobokan Prison and oddly seem to be enjoying life behind bars.
Mack was sentenced to ten years, while Schaefer is serving out an 18 year sentence.
