One Kerobokan prisoner did not live to see the new year, unfortunately.
Pondi, 32, who was incarcerated in for a theft case was found yesterday in the prison lying dead on the floor, reports Tribun Bali.
Wisnu Wardana of Badung Police has confirmed Pondi’s death with Tribun.
The body was found at 3 pm yesterday, Wardana said.
According to the testimony of the deceased prisoner’s roommate, Pondi would often complain of fatigue and exhaustion and he also often slept on the floor.
No foul play is apparently suspected, but Pondi’s body is reportedly at Sanglah Hospital in Denpasar for an autopsy, as of writing time.
