A prisoner at Bali’s LP Kerobokan reportedly died suddenly on Saturday.
Junaedi, originally from Banyuwangi, East Java died around 4 pm after he apparently was suddenly unable to breathe, reports Tribun Bali.
Kerobokan Prison Governor Sudjonggo seemed quick to deflect any blame from the prison in Tribun’s report, noting that the inmate had never complained of any health issues and had access to the prison clinic, but never went for treatment there.
Junaedi’s body was taken to Sanglah Hospital in Denpsar and at this time, he is believed to have died from a heart attack or respiratory failure.
He was serving a two-year sentence for drugs.
