A Kenyan was not permitted to fly out of Bali at Ngurah Rai Airport because he was allegedly using a fake passport, Indonesian immigration authorities have said.
The Kenyan man, who reportedly was born in Mogadishu, Somalia, was identified in a Merdeka report as SM, 20.
SM had been trying to fly to Xiamen, China on Thursday using Xiamen Airlines when Bali immigration stopped him, suspecting something was up with his passport.
“In an interrogation, he said he was Canadian. But in fact, he comes from Kenya,” Head of Ngurah Rai Special Immigration Class I, Ari Budijanto told Merdeka.
