Bali’s international airport held a simulation test this morning that had airport passengers a little bit surprised.
The test at Ngurah Rai Airport was an emergency response exercise that involved 742 airport personnel and other agencies, reports Tribun Bali. Operator Director of Angkasa Pura 1, responsible for Indonesia’s airports, Yushan Sayuti reportedly said the test was so the airport can do a better job of maintaining a secure and comfortable environment by being ready.
To make passengers feel a bit more safe, maybe the authorities could have done a better job informing the people coming and going through the airport. One traveler told Tribun Bali that she was shocked when she heard the explosion of the bomb simulation go off in an empty lot next to the international terminal. No surprise there, that’s the last thing we want to hear at an airport.
