Jetstar Darwin flight mega-delayed in Bali, passengers complain of no notification from airline

Passengers waited in Bali for around 13 extra hours after their Jetstar flight to Darwin was delayed on Tuesday.

It’s a shame, we had just been hearing such nice things about Australian budget airline, Jetstar.

But hey, not every airline can pitch a perfect game.

The delay happened when a crew member called in sick, a Jetstar spokeswoman said.

“One of the crew members rostered on our flight from Bali to Darwin early this morning was unwell and unfortunately unable to operate on the service,” she said, as quoted in a report published to NT News

“Before check-in for the flight opened we sent an email and text to the contact details provided by the customers, and have provided hotels today during the delay on the flight.”

Despite Jetstar saying they had their passengers covered, one disgruntled traveler told NT News that he didn’t get any text or email from the airline.

“If they did, it failed,” he said.

“Jetstar are full of shit.”

The NT report published another quote from a passenger saying that most of the flight’s passengers were accommodated at Airport Novotel.
