With Nyepi just around the corner, Jembrana is deploying its finest to serve and protect.
A total of 529 personnel from Jembrana district, West Bali police will reportedly be deployed for Nyepi, the Balinese holiday on Saturday.
These security measures were announced earlier this morning when Jembrana district police held a coordination meeting, reports Tribun Bali.
Jembrana Police Chief Riza Faizal told Tribun that about 2/3 of its force (the 529 officers) will be working Nyepi.
But it won’t just be district police—Faizal says they will be working alongside the military, pecalang (neighborhood security), and other municipal police, so all together, more than a thousand will be partaking in Jembrana’s Nyepi security measures.
