Island’s ATMS shut down at 9pm ahead of Bali holy day

Don’t wait until the last minute this evening to take cash out.

ATMs across the island will shut down at 9 pm tonight, in accordance with a gubernatorial Bank Indonesia decree, honoring the Balinese holiday Nyepi.

Banking services at branch offices, however, closed at 11 am today and will be available again at 8 am on Thursday (March 10), Risang Widoyoko, BNI Denpasar regional office head told Tribun Bali

Not that you’re going to need cash while you’re sitting inside during Nyepi, but always better to err on the side of caution when it comes to sometimes spotty banking.
