A man who was found dead in a drainage ditch in North Kuta last Sunday along with his motorbike has been identified as Keith Thomas Coughlan, an Irish MMA fighter who resided in Fremantle, West Australia.

It was previously reported that Coughlan, 26, was Australian, but it was later confirmed that he was a citizen of Ireland.

Coughlan reportedly stayed in Bali for the purpose of training. As a matter of fact, weeks before the tragedy, he won a local MMA match in Canggu.

Per this article’s publication, Bali police have yet to provide further statements regarding Coughlan’s untimely death.

As previously reported, his body was found pinned under his scooter at around 5am last Sunday by a local, who noticed that both of the victim’s feet were crushed under the bike.

Police found seven bottles of beer at the crash site, and suspected that the accident was caused by alcohol-impaired driving and bad lighting around the area.
