Indonesian Palm Oil Conference to be held in Bali this month, talk of the future of the industry

The Indonesian Palm Oil Association (GAPKI) is holding its 11th Indonesian Palm Oil Conference (IPOC) in Bali from Nov. 25 to 27 with the theme, “The Fund and the Future of the Palm Oil Industry.”

As many as 1,500 leaders in the palm oil industry will congregate in Bali this month to talk about issues facing the industry’s future. And we know there are plenty of issues. For starters, anyone want to show them this video series?

“We will discuss strategic issues surrounding the palm oil industry from upstream to downstream,” GAPKI Vice Chairman Mona Surya said in Jakarta on Tuesday, as quoted by CNN Indonesia

Surya said business people, stakeholders, business owners, CEOs, executives, and both national and international policymakers will be present at the Bali conference.

Surya estimates at there will be as many as 1500 participants from 30 different countries.

The conference has scheduled Indonesian Vice President Jusuf Kalla to open the event.

Indonesia has become the leading country in palm oil production (not exactly something to pat itself on the back for).
