Police in Bali have arrested an Indonesian gaming Youtuber for alleged use of a new drug identified as P-Flouro Fori.

Denpasar City Police Chief Jansen Avitus Panjaitan said during a press conference yesterday that the 23-year-old influencer, identified as S, was arrested on Jan. 6 along with three other friends, identified as J, R, and A, in Seminyak. Police also seized 1.90 grams of the new drug variant from the group as evidence during the arrest.

“She should be an anti-drug ambassador, but she is giving a bad example. With so many followers, she should make drugs the common enemy, but she uses drugs instead. This is very unfortunate,” Jansen said.

According to reports, S runs a gaming channel with over 662,000 subscribers on YouTube and is active on other platforms, such as TikTok.

One tablet of P-Flouri Fori reportedly costs about IDR650,000 (US$46), with police saying that S started using the drugs recreationally three months ago.

“This drug, a new type called P-Flouro Fori, is a lot like ecstasy but the effects are stronger,” Jansen explained.

S and her friends were individually charged with violations of Indonesia’s drug laws, which carry a maximum prison sentence of 12 years in prison and a maximum fine of IDR8 billion (US$565,822).
