HM Prasetyo, Indonesia’s attorney general has reportedly said that the government is just about ready to carry out the latest round of executions in the country.

Preparation is about 90 percent finished and we’re still waiting for four inmates to be transferred, Prasetyo said earlier today, as quoted by Kompas

Reports also say that prosecutors must coordinate isolated rooms to prepare clergy who will interact with the inmates.

Of the four that have not been moved to the execution site of Nusakambangan prison island in Central Java, two are in Bali, one person is in Madiun, and the fourth is in Yogyakarta, Prasetyo said.

With Prasetyo mentioning two prisoners in Bali, of course we are immediately thinking of the Bali Nine pair.

Prasetyo added that preparations for the executions must be done carefully, but the government is not at all affected by the international pressure on Indonesian to cancel its imminent executions.

Bali’s chief prosecutor said earlier this week that his team is ready to complete the transfer of Australians Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran from Bali “at any time.”
