The immigration office in Bali has deported a foreign national from the Czech Republic, alleging that he worked illegally as a marketing and travel agent in Karangasem regency.

The foreigner, identified by his initials JH, had stayed in Indonesia with a B211A Visit Visa, officials said.

“The person is suspected to have been working in marketing management of Selang Resort while also serving as a representative of a travel agency in Indonesia,” Jamaruli Manihuruk, Head of the Bali office for the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, said.

JH was put on a flight headed to Jakarta yesterday, before continuing his journey to Prague.

Indonesian immigration appears to be ramping up efforts to identify foreigners who are violating the purpose of their stay permits, as another Czech national was deported just last weekend for illegally working as a diving instructor in Bali.
