A wife in west Bali was allegedly assaulted by her husband on Monday after failing to prepare him some food to eat.
When walking through the door on Monday, Gede Sukadana, 42, reportedly saw that there was only white rice on the table. Emotions running high and a stomach probably growling loudly, Sukadana slammed the plate of white rice to the floor, reports Tribun Bali.
So enraged about only having white rice to eat with no laut, Sukadana allegedly hit his wife, Ni Luh Sutini, 42, in the abdomen and chest, and grabbed her to strangle her.
After the quarrel died down, Sutini reported the incident to local Mendoyo police.
Mendoyo police chief Wayan Sinaryasa says Sutini reported multiple similar incidents of her husband’s aggression.
Because the conflict could not be resolved peacefully, police reportedly took Sukadana into custody for domestic violence.
