Ladies in Bali are visiting a certain satay warung in Denpasar not only for the scrumptious bites, but apparently because the vendor is just as drool-worthy as the food.

Aris Rakasiwi chose to help continue the family business and run the Flamboyan Warung selling satay and gule, a curry-like stew with satay meat.

“If you go there, a lot of young customers especially often ask for a photo with Aris,” one customer, Kinan, told Wolipop in an article posted this week.

The 27-year-old is actually still a student and is studying business management at Bali’s National Education University to help him manage the family warung, according to the interview.

In addition to being known as the “hot satay guy”, Rakasiwi’s claim to fame—at least locally in Bali—is that he drums for a band called Kananlima.

But Raksiwi says he would rather have a reputation for his satay.

“I would be happier to be a called a satay maker than a drummer,” he told Wolipop.
