One Bali teen from Gianyar reportedly tried to take his own life on Friday after his girlfriend allegedly broke up with him.
I Komang Bagastia, 16, was taken to Sanglah Hospital in Denpasar on Friday night after he had been found trying to hang himself with his necktie, reports Tribun Bali.
Bagastia’s sucide attempt put him in critical condition, landing him in the intensive care unit.
“As for his motive, all of our family does not yet know for sure why he tried to kill himself. But there are some problems that might be the cause. His breakup for one. If he only tried to kill himself because his girlfriend broke things off, that’s certainly very silly,” Bagastia’s brother-in-law, I Ketut Apri, told Tribun Bali.
Hopefully Bagastia will survive long enough to be able to wake up and explain to his family why he did it, whether it was related to his breakup or not.
