Headless baby found eaten by pack of puppies ‘haunts’ Balinese family

Fear grips the family of I Ketut Radi, who discovered a dead baby with no head in front of his house this week in Pendem Village, Jembrana, Bali. Radi says he’s haunted by the headless baby that was eaten by a pack of puppies.

“Our family cannot get any sleep at night,” Radi told Tribun Bail, adding that his family members do not dare to walk around at night, even to go the bathroom.

“Yes we feel haunted. We are scared,” Radi said.

The tragic event that sparked Radi and family’s fear happened on Tuesday evening around 7 pm when the family dog “Sari” brought the dead baby home. Then, there was a commotion, with Sari’s puppies fighting over the corpse.

The incident was first witnessed by Radi’s father, Ketut Windra, 60. Windra thought the puppies were scrapping over food, but when he got closer to take a look, he realized they were fighting over the baby.

At that time, Windra reportedly found the body, only remaining from the waist down, with the umbilical cord still attached.

Jembrana district police allege the baby was dumped and was an estimated three days old.
