The corpse of an elderly women was found floating in a river in Buleleng North Bali on Monday, but a medical exam indicated no signs of foul play.
The old woman’s body was found around 10 am by local residents Gede Indrawan, 23, and Kadek Heryawan, 23, reports Tribun Bali.
The deceased woman was later identified as Ketut Tari, 80, a farmer from Kedis Village, Singaraja.
The family released Tari was missing when she didn’t come home, her daughter Ketut Santika, 45, told Tribun.
Buleleng police chief Kurniadi says an examination of the woman’s body revealed no elements of foul play.
Kurniadi believes the old woman slipped and fell into the abyss, as far down as 10 meters.
“The victim fell due to old age,” he explained.
