It was supposed to be a quiet Monday evening for 22-year-old college student Natasya and her family. They just had a relaxed time in Ubud and were passing through Sanur on their way home.

Natasya and her family never thought they would bear witness to a foreigner on his motorbike releasing himself at a traffic light.

Yep, you read that right.

Natasya, who was sitting in the front passenger seat, snapped a short clip of what appeared to be a foreigner in his 30s wearing a black collared shirt, black shorts with white floral prints, and a yellow helmet peeing on his bike as they were all waiting for the green light.

“Peeing at a traffic light?” Natasya said in disbelief in a clip she uploaded on her Instagram account, @tashanatzz.

“Just make it viral,” a man can be heard saying. He was later confirmed by Natasya to be her uncle, who was driving the car.

“Stupid, I swear to god,” said another one of Natasya’s relative.

Natasya told Coconuts Bali that the unfortunate episode occurred at around 6pm yesterday at an intersection in Sanur, which she recalled was near a McDonald’s. From the start, she said, they all noticed something was off about the guy as he was repeatedly honking his vehicle when he approached the intersection.

“It seemed like he was high or perhaps just downright crazy,” she said.

Natasya was thankful that the urinator peed to his left while she was on his right, which spared her eyes from actually seeing the man’s ding-dong.

“I would’ve been blind if I saw it,” she said.

The man himself appeared to be a foreigner and Natasya said he looked Middle Eastern. The video has been shared on various local Instagram community accounts, with many commenters condemning the act while some pointed out that locals occasionally also pee in public.

“But not in the middle of the road like that,” others retorted.

Separately, the Denpasar Police’s Head of Traffic Unit Ni Putu Utariani told a local news outlet that she was disappointed with the foreigner’s action that violated local traffic regulations and added the authorities are now looking for him.

“We will let you know once there’s progress,” she said.

(EDITOR’S NOTE: The story has been updated with statement from the police).
