A boat carrying tourists was overturned by waves in Pulau Serangan waters in the Denpasar area on Monday morning.
Three people were reportedly killed from the sinking of glass bottom boat, Gayatri 1.
“Yes, we are still investigating the incident further. The boat was carrying four tourists,” said South Denpasar Police’s Criminal Investigation Unit Chief Insp. Bangkit Dananjaya, as quoted by VIVA News.
“We’re still figuring out the cause and sequence of events,” Dananjaya added.
The three reported killed in the incident are Japanese tourist Nakazawa, 71, the captain of the boat, Febriyanto Lau, 24, and his wife, Erny Yulyana Niner.
