Gianyar trains gas station employees in attempt to minimize ‘pom bensin’ scams

Reports from the public of nakal gas stations scamming customers has the Gianyar Department of Industry and Trade up in arms.

There have been a number of complaints from the public that privately-owned based stations have been skimming cash when filling, according to Tribun Bali

To nip out fraud, employees from 26 gas stations across the regency were reportedly given coaching by Gianyar province on how they should actually be pumping gas.

I Wayan Suamba, head of Gianyar’s Department of Industry and Trade says it’s important for the public to complain when they suspect any scamming going on and the more publicity the better, for holding privately-owned gas stations accountable.
