German dies in Ubud villa, allegedly from heart attack

A German tourist was reportedly found dead in the Ubud villa where he was staying on Sunday.

Oneirate Ali, 35, died at approximately 4:30 pm and apparently experienced a seizure before his death, reports Tribun Bali

Based on information provided by the police, Ali arrived at Villa Kanosari with his friend, Thiele Carolin Helene, 27, at about 1 pm.

Afterwards, Ali complained that he didn’t feel well and suggested that Helene rest on the couch in front of his room, Ubud Police Chief Wayan Sumara told Tribun.

Several hours later, Ali suddenly had a seizure, and Helene immediately raced to get help from villa staff, according to reports.

“The doctor who came to examine the victim declared him dead. He estimated (the cause of death) to be a heart attack,” Sumara said.
