A German man has reportedly been secured by National Narcotics Agency (BNN) Bali officers after getting caught with a substance that is alleged to be cannabis, at Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport.
Identified in local news reports by initials PMS, the 30-year-old German landed in Bali on April 15 on China Airlines flight CI 771, from Taipei.
When PMS went through the x-ray at customs in Bali, a sniffer dog acted up, tipping off Customs officers.
“Drugs were stored in a black, blue, and gray backpack. There was an aluminum foil package containing pieces of a dried, greenish-brown plant,” head of BNN Bali, Director Brig. I Putu Gede Suastawa said on Monday, as quoted by Tribun Bali.
The package of alleged cannabis had a gross weight of 1.53 grams and has been submitted for testing, according to Suastawa.
