Aviation Security at Bali’s Ngurah Rai Airport arrested a traveler carrying ganja on Friday morning.
Identified in a Tribun Bali report as Muhammad Roem, the man had been planning to take Garuda Indonesia flight GA 339 from Denpasar to Surabaya.
“In the process of the security check, we secured him,” the airport’s general manager, Trikora Harjo, told local media on Friday.
Harjo explained that Roem set off the metal detector when he went through security so they had to search him more thoroughly. So that’s apparently when officers found a package of marijuana on the man.
We bet he’s wishing he had removed that belt buckle or whatever it was on him that tipped the metal detector off.
“At this time, the passenger is with Airport Police for further processing,” Harjo said.
