Authorities in Bali have apprehended a foreign man after footage emerged that he walked around with no pants on in Kerobokan Kelod, North Kuta on Sunday.

In several clips that have gone viral, the unidentified man is seen traveling by foot from Umalas to Tegal Cupek. While he had what appears to be batik cloth draped around his waist, he would occasionally lift up or remove the cloth to expose his genitals and behind in the busy area.

According to reports, Badung’s Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) and the police first apprehended the man at approximately 5pm, but he managed to slip from their grasp and continued running. They eventually apprehended him again at approximately 6:30pm.

“The foreigner resisted arrest. However, there was no violence,” Badung Satpol PP Chief I Made Astika said.

Satpol PP, who is handling the case, said that the man has been referred to Prof Ngoerah General Hospital for a mental evaluation.

The agency added that the man has not been communicative, making it difficult to determine his identity.

Pending his mental evaluation, Satpol PP has recommended to immigration that the man be deported from Indonesia for public obscenity and disorder.
