The body of a 19-year-old guide was reportedly found last night, after he fatally fell into the ocean on Tuesday while out an a “flying fish” raft.
Didi Hamzar of Denpasar Search and Rescue (Kabasarnas) told Tribun Bali on Friday that I Komang Astawa’s body was found on Thursday evening at around 7:15 pm.
The body was reportedly found floating.
“He was found dead. The condition of the body was still intact, only because it was submerged for several days and his body swelled up,” Hamzar explained.
Hamzar says the location where Astawa’s body was found was not far from the accident’s location.
Astawa was reportedly out with two tourists (who were both reportedly uninjured) while guiding them on a “flying fish” raft when he fell into the ocean—purportedly without a life jacket. “Flying fish” is a tourist activity offered in Benoa Bay where a banana boat like raft is pulled on the back of a boat and made to go airborne.
