Expat chiropractor’s office shuts down in Bali after immigration crackdown

An expat working as a chiropractor in Kuta, Bali has reportedly been shut down by immigration after alleged permit violations.

Identified by initials EMA in a Tribun Bali report, the doctor apparently previously worked at Bali Chiropractic in Kuta.

He’s suspected of actually holding two passports, one Australian, and one American, according to Muhammad Sholeh, head of Immigration Supervision and Enforcement.

“It turns out that he (EMA) also had a case with his long-time boss (Bali Chiropractic) from 2011,” Sholeh told Tribun Bali on Thursday.

EMA is currently under investigation and is being held in an immigration detention house.

Based on Tribun Bali’s observation, the doctor’s office, Bali Chiropractic has been closed the last several days.

This case follows a story reported out of Jakarta, where two Australian brothers were arrested for operating as unlicensed chiropractors.
