Narcotics police in Klungkung, East Bali reportedly confiscated 850 liters worth of the “home brews” arak and tuak.
From the hands of the first suspect, I Wayan Yasa, police seized 14 containers of the alcohol containing 280 liters, along with 570 liters of tuak in 19 containers from the second suspect, Catur Adi Gunawan, reports Tribun Bali.
I Dewa Gede Artana of Klungkung Narcotics Unit told Tribun on Wednesday that the arrests were thanks to tips from the public and the dedication of his squad in tracking the circulation of unregulated alcohol in the Jl. Raya Paksebali area. Artana added that the arrests are part of a larger effort to tighten security in the community.
