Badung Narcotics Police arrested two people who would allegedly pretend to be debt collectors in order to distribute drugs.
The fake debt collectors—we have to give them props for creativity on this one—were identified in local news reports as KEP, alias Koming, 31, and KAP, 36. A total of 6.3 grams of meth was reportedly confiscated from the two.
“This time, the suspect Koming would pose as a debt collector to distribute narcotics, specifically methamphetamine,” Badung Police’s Narcotics Unit Chief Djoko Hariadi told Tribun Bali on Tuesday.
According to police interviews with the suspects, the drugs were obtained through a person identified as RY by way of purchase and were to be circulated around Badung and Denpasar.
