Denpasar headmaster accused of embezzling around Rp 74 million from students

A Denpasar headmaster has been reported to the police on suspicion of running through students’ savings.

“Students were saving money through homeroom,” a Denpasar police source told Tribun Bali on Tuesday.

Students at the school would apparently use their homeroom teachers as intermediaries.

The principal, with initials YI, is accused of embezzling Rp 74 million of students’ cash.

Suspicions arose over missing money when students were ready to take their cash back but there was none to be had.

Denpasar Police Criminal Investigation Commissioner Reinhard Nainggolan Habonaran says police are deepening the investigation of the case.
