An infant, roughly a week-old, was found crying under a car on Saturday morning in Sanur, Bali.
Anak Agung Ketut Bagus Suardana, 41, heard crying from the back of his house, but ignored the sound at first because he thought it was a cat, according to Tribun Bali. But when the crying didn’t stop, he told police that he checked where the sound was coming from, under a car belonging to I Gusti Putu Pacang, parked on Jl. Tukad Bilok Gang IV.
“I then checked under the car. There was a a figure of a baby, wrapped in batik fabric,” Suardana explained. Suardana then called Pacang and the two phoned the police.
The baby was then evacuated to Sanglah Hospital in Denpasar. Despite being found under this car, fortunately the baby is reportedly healthy, unlike the baby found last week in Denpasar, dead with stab wounds.
South Denpasar Police Chief Nanang Priasmoko says police are investigating the baby’s mysterious appearance under the car and are checking a number of witnesses, but as of Saturday, they are not sure who put the baby there.
