The body of a man who went missing yesterday on the coast of Gianyar was found on the shore this morning.
I Wayan Budiada alias Didat, 24, from the Kintamani Bangli area was reported missing around 1:30 am on Wednesday morning when he was swept into the ocean by strong waves, according to Tribun Bali.
Didat’s friend Wahyu Hidayat told Tribun that they had been sitting on the beach when the waves all of a sudden took Didat away.
Bali search and rescue reportedly found Didat’s body around 9 am this morning not far from where he had disappeared.
“Since yesterday, I did not sleep waiting for Didat. He was found just 200 meters from where we had been sitting,” Hidayat said.
Didat’s corpse was reportedly rushed to Sanjiwani Gianyar Public Hospital to conduct an autopsy.
