Construction worker electrocuted in North Bali

A construction worker reportedly died from electric shock on Tuesday when trying to turn on a water pump in North Bali.

At the time of the incident, Saefudin, 50, had been repairing wells with two of his colleagues in Buleleng, North Bali, reports Tribun Bali.

When Saefudin wanted to turn on the water pump to check the flow of water from the well, his hands were still wet from plugging the pump into the main cable. The quick flow of electricity immediately electrocuted him, reports say.

Until the power was shut off, his co-workers, Muklis, 25, and Juhri, 29, did not dare help their fallen friend. By the time police arrived, Saefudin was already dead.
