Flawless pre-wedding photos shot in Bali can be found all over Pinterest and Instagram, with smiling couples in front of picture-perfect sunsets and stunning oceans.
One Chinese couple was excited to see the results of their Bali photo shoot after forking over nearly Rp 65 million, only to get the photos back and realize they weren’t so insta-worthy, Chengdu Commercial Daily reported.

The photos they got back on July 20 have now gone viral on the Chinese social media platform Weibo, with things like cows and ugly bushes in the background.
“If your photos were taken in Bali, then mine look like they were taken in the Maldives,” said a friend of theirs, who had just taken her own pre-wedding photos in Sichuan, as quoted in Asia One.

Apparently the couple had to select 65 photos out of the 424 that they liked for further editing, but they reportedly couldn’t even pick 10 good ones.
“If you didn’t tell them it was Bali, no one would be able to tell. It looks like some sample photos on Taobao,” said the bride-to-be.
The company who did the photo shoot is investigating the issue and a manager named Han said customers need to pick their favorite photos for further editing because the photos don’t always turn out perfect, according to Asia One.

While we like to use our fair share of filters and editing tools, we have to say some of these photos just don’t seem redeemable and it would take more editing than it’s worth to save them.
