Chan and Sukumaran get clergy visit

Bali Nine Australians on death row Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran got a special visit at Kerobokan Prison today.

Their visitor, Matius Arif, claims to be a member of the church and took the time in his visit to pray with the two inmates earlier today, reports Tribun Bali.

“We had time to communicate, but did not talk about the execution,” Arif told Tribun Bali. However, while they did not talk about their own impending executions, Arif said they did talk about the six who were executed over the weekend.

Chan and Sukumaran are anxiously awaiting their fate. The pair was convicted for a 2005 heroin smuggling plot out of Bali and sentenced to die. President Joko Widodo has formally rejected Sukumaran’s plea for clemency, but Chan is still waiting for an answer on his. But Indonesia’s Attorney General says Chan is on the Indonesian execution list for 2015
