Car goes aflame on Ubud’s main drag

A Suzuki AVP reportedly caught on fire on Jl. Raya Ubud on Monday.

It was right in front of Museum Neka at 12 pm, causing quite the traffic jam, according to Tribun Bali

The flames not surprisingly caused quite a commotion and had residents, motorists, and tourists alike, gathering around the car to see what was going on.

Based on information gathered by Tribun Bali, the fire originated on the left seat in front of the car after it stalled.

The driver, I Wayan Sudarsa says he has no idea why the car literally went up in flames.

Lucky for Sudarsa, before the entire car burned, the fire was extinguished. Two fire truck units reportedly came to the site and local residents helped carry water.

Though a clear cause of the fire was not identified, Tribun’s report mentioned speculations of a lack of water in the radiator or a short circuit in the wiring.
