A Dutch man has earned internet fame in Indonesia for making an epic trip on his motorbike, riding around the world from Bali to the Netherlands.
Gerard Elferink sure loves his Honda Supra X 125cc. With a standard ‘DK’ plate, you can see that the bike’s Bali licensed.
Elferink reportedly took three months and four days on his transcontinental trip, going through Bali, Java, Sumatra, and KL, flying on to Istanbul, and from Istanbul, he drove through Bulgaria, Bosnia, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Austria, Germany, and finally arrived in Holland, according to Surabaya radio station E100.
Even though Elferink did the trip back in 2013, he seems to be getting a flurry of love from Indoneisan netizens as his story has recently been shared on social media by some Indonesian pages.
A post about Elferink on the Facebook page Meme & Rage Comic Indonesia has gotten almost 2,000 shares since it was posted earlier this morning.
