Brimob officer rushed to hospital in Bali after exchanging gunfire with terrorists during raid

A Mobile Brigade Corps (Brimob) officer was reportedly evacuated to Bali from Bima, West Nusa Tenggara after exchanging gunfire with terrorists during a raid.

Bharada Efendi suffered gunshot wounds during a raid by Densus 88, the Indonesian special forces anti-terror squad. The raid was targeting a terrorist, allegedly linked to the Poso-based MIT, on police’s wanted list, identified as Fajar alias Chan alias Muhammad Fuad.

“Bharada Efendi suffered severe injuries that the hospital there could not handle, so he was rushed to Bali,” an unnamed official said on Monday, as quoted by Sindo News

In Bali, he was sent to police hospital RS Trijata, the source said, though Tribun Bali later reported that he underwent surgery at Sanglah Hospital. Let’s hope this brave officer recovers quickly!
