A massive set of breasts have been inflated at Ubud’s Nyuh Kuning football field in an effort to raise funds for Lombok earthquake victims.

The breasts are set to be up and fully pumped until 7pm on Tuesday evening.

You may be wondering about the connection between boobs and Lombok.

The fundraiser, “Back to the Breast” is organized by the Ubud-based Bumi Sehat, an organization that specializes in natural birthing and maternal and infant health.

Bumi Sehat has a volunteer medical team on the ground in Lombok servicing local villagers affected by the series of deadly earthquakes that have led to at least 481 deaths and thousands of evacuations.

Designed and created by designer Carina Hardy, the breasts are eco-friendly, made of organic cotton coated in pigmented natural latex, making them fully compostable and biodegradable. Get a closer look of the design here.

You can even go inside the breasts in a tunnel and “imagine what it might feel like to be in a breast,” according to the event’s Facebook page.

The whole idea is to normalize the boobs or “breast culture” and “encourage an appreciation for rather than opposition to breasts in the public view,” as Bumi Sehat puts it.

There will be breastfeeding mothers and a light show later, Bumi Sehat founder and director Robin Lim told Coconuts Bali.

The installation has previously been inflated in Bali last year, as well as Thailand and London.
