As if Bali’s airport did not have enough going on lately with flights being cancelled due to volcanic ash, a bomb squad has been deployed at Ngurah Rai since last Thursday following an explosion at Alam Sutera Mall in Tangerang.
The bomb squad was set up at Ngurah Rai Airport to take precautionary measures, because of Bali’s position as a tourist destination, Denpasar Police Chief Anak Agung Made Sudana told Kompas.
Sudana also said that police are prepared to deal with any threats, especially those stationed at the airport.
