The body of a little two-year-old girl who disappeared yesterday afternoon during flash flooding in Denpasar was finally recovered.
Cinta Zahrani Agung Prameswari, fondly called Zahra by her family, was swept away along a canal by sudden heavy rains. She is understood to have fallen into the canal when she was playing outside her home with her sibling.
A joint Basarnas (search and rescue) team from Bali and Denpasar Police combed the area for the girl until evening and picked the search back up this morning to no avail.
That is, until finally, her body was found by Hasbi, 44, a local resident of Jl. Kusuma Bangsa V, Denpasar, reports Tribun Bali.
Zahra’s body was brought to the local funeral home, intended for repatriation to her family’s home village in East Java.
Her family, understandably gripped with grief, was unable for comment, local media reported.
