Body of Aviastar co-pilot from Sulawesi plane crash repatriated to Bali

The body of Aviastar co-pilot, Yudhistira Febby Aryanto, from the recent plane crash in Sulawesi is reportedly scheduled to depart from Hassanudian Airport, Makassar en route to Denpasar Bali at 4:40 pm today. 

“It’s estimated that the plane carrying the body will arrive in Denpasar at 6 pm,” said Sherly Yunita, PR for PT Angkasa Pura I Ngurah Rai International Airport on Thursday, as quoted by Antara

Yunita explained that the body is being transported by Lion Air flight JT 745. Upon arrival in Bali, Aryanto’s body is set to be delivered to his residence on Jl. Majapahit, Kuta and is slated for burial on Friday. 

Aryanto’s Aviastar flight MV 7503 Makassar-Massamba went out of contact on Friday, Oct. 2 at 2:36 pm. After a search conducted by a number of parties, led by the National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas), the fuselage was found destroyed in the Latimojong mountains in Luwu, South Sulawesi. 

All the passengers, including the crew, were tragically killed. 

The “Twin Otter” plane was flown by Pilot Iriafriadi, Co-pilot Yudhistira, and Technician Soekris Winarto. There were seven passengers, consisting of four adults, two babies, and one child, according to Antara.
