The Bali Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) is advising people in Bali to take care, given weather forecasting heavy rain.
The agency cautions of landslides and dangerous high waves with the foreseen weather conditions.
Head of Data and Information for BMKG Region III Denpasar, Nyoman Gede Wiryajaya, says that the national weather service’s warning has been issued until Tuesday, with waves estimated at more than two meters in waters from South Bali to West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).
Let’s hope people who especially aren’t strong swimmers, stay out of the water under these circumstances!
Moreover, now that Bali’s entered rainy season, BMKG urges residents to be vigilant of conditions, especially in landslide prone areas like Pupuan (Tabanan), Kintamani (Bangli), Singaraja, North Badung, and Karangasem.
“We expect people to always keep up to date with BMKG’s information, in anticipation of bad weather,” Wiryajaya said on Monday, as quoted by Okezone.
