Police in North Bali’s Buleleng Regency are warning residents against the alleged circulation of sweets containing drugs in schools.
Police haven’t found anything yet, but apparently they have reason to be concerned.
“We have conducted a raid and unannounced visits to a number of schools. Until now, we haven’t found anything, but we will continue to implement monitoring,” head of Buleleng Police’s Narcotics Investigation Unit, Police Chief Insp. Ketut Adnyana TJ said in Singaraja on Friday, as quoted by Antara Bali.
Adnyana says police are working on drug prevention programs in schools across the regency.
This is a resurfacing issue and isn’t the first time Buleleng has seen drugs getting mixed into candies, according to Adnyana.
