Just when we were starting to think Bali news was all dead bodies and mischevious teenagers this week, we were overjoyed to hear that Bali Zoo has welcomed in a new life.
Posting to their Facebook account yesterday, the zoo announced the birth of a rare silvery gibbon and shared pictures of the newborn nursing.
The silvery gibbon can only be found naturally in Java, but has been put on the endangered species list due to its shrinking forest habitat, according to the Silvery Gibbon Project.
Selamat datang di Bali little monkey!
