Export prices for Bali tuna are reportedly up in 2015.

The fish are selling for USD5.60 per kilo this year, up from USD3.60 in 2014, reports Tribun Bali

“There is a rise in the average price of this fish in the export market. The trading volume of tuna from Bali is down, but gains from foreign exchange increased a lot,” Bali’s head of Foreign Trade Made Suastika said on Wednesday.

Looking at the specific numbers, Suastika told Tribun that tuna exports from January to June in 2015 totaled 6,812 tons for USD38.7 million dollars, while in the same period in 2014, tuna exports reached 8,962 tons, just worth USD32.3 million dollars.

Tuna is only second to textiles in export products from Bali, according to Tribun.
