Bali’s Airport shut down for a bit on Friday because of a damaged runway.
The closure apparently has the Bali Tourism Office peeved—as this hasn’t been the first, or even second time this year that the airport has been forced to stop flights because of a broken tarmac.
“We hope that this kind of thing does not happen again. It is very dangerous for the aircrafts to cross,” Head of Bali Provincial Tourism Office Anak Agung Gde Yuniartha Putra told Merdeka on Friday.
Friday’s temporary shut down of course had a domino effect on delaying Bali flights.
“When everything is running normally, there’s already a lot of travelers coming to Bali. With a closer for several hours, the arrivals schedule becomes even more dense.”
