Bali tightens up on cyanide circulation

Bombs are not the only weapons of terror that police are preparing for in Bali.

Cyanide is the latest threat police are warning against.

We should be especially careful and vigilant when accepting food and/or drinks for an unknown party, Bali Police spokesman Hery Wiyanto said to Tribun Bali on Tuesday.

Other than simply raising public awareness about the possible use of cyanide poisoning by terorrists, police are also tightening up on the poison’s sales on the island, according to Wiyanto.

“We will also do surveillance of cyanide sales. So the circulation of cyanide in the region of Bali can be controlled. We are going to collect data in a variety of stores. From which stores spread across Bali, cyanide for what purpose, the identity of the purchaser, etc. We will carry out supervision of it,” Wiyanto said.
