A road accident turned fatal after a Bali teen allegedly turned into an oncoming truck in Kuta this morning.
Intan Retni Meiliadari was driving on her Yamaha Mio motorbike this morning on Jl. Raya Kuta when she was killed in a collision with a truck carrying water, reports Tribun Bali.
The 19-year-old allegedly tried to make a right-hand turn around 6:30 am, but she did not notice a passing truck, driven by I Komang Sujana. When attempting to turn, Meiliadari was allegedly hit by the truck and pushed about 10 meters, according to Tribun.
The motorist inadvertently rammed into the truck and was dragged, police commissioner I Nyoman Nuryana told Tribun.
The teen reportedly died at the scene of the accident from severe injuries. Her body was reportedly taken to Sanglah Hospital for further examination while the truck driver was taken in by police for questioning.
